Java Dreams

Java Dreams is a love letter to the island just across the water from Bali, a place where time stretches gently across quiet villages and rolling countryside. Mornings carry the earthy scent of damp soil after rain, blooming jasmine, clove trees and freshly roasted coffee drifting from small warungs.

It’s no coincidence a cup of coffee is often called “a cup of Java”, the island’s rich history of coffee plantations has carried its name across the world. For me, the aroma of coffee is an instant passage into my own Java Dreams.

Every print in this collection is hand drawn by myself, and each fabric is printed entirely by hand. The artisans bringing these designs to life are mostly from Java themselves, creating a beautiful full circle moment, the island that inspired the dream is the same place where the dream is made tangible.
